For one so young, Cellardore is without doubt a talented music producer. Words: Will JobbinsHey, don't just take our word for it - just check out the crowd he draws to any event with his name on the billboard.

With his finger on the pulse of electronic music, CellardoreCellardore has an almost instinctive trait for programming sounds that encourage the contents of your average dance floor to hit the tiles with serious energy. His tunes are very crowd-pleasing without sounding commercial, and uplifting without sounding poncey. This release - Step Down - is an exercise in anarchic drum n' bass, with punk rock-esque vocals by Andrew Groves of Arcane Roots and a high octane rhythm. Any fans of early Pendulum or the Prodigy's most recent album will dig this tune.

On the B-side we have Triple Drop - not a reference to pill-munching shenanigans of Pacman proportions, but a nod to the three drop Cellardore - Step Down/Triple Drop

devices featured in the song, each harder than the last. Starting with a chilled, beatless intro, Cellardore soon moves us up a gear into a more percussive build up, before an energetic drop into a dubstep style rhythm. And then, just when you think you've got this tune sussed as a downtempo skanker, it builds up and drops again, this time into a funky breakbeat.

These are the first of many releases by Cellardore as he has more in the pipeline and this, judging by these two, can only be A Good Thing. All info on www.acidicrecords.co.uk.
