With my dirty, high top Vans set to 'dance' mode I was ready for my next pilgrimage to the Temple. This was their fourth event and I've managed to turn up to each one. The first two took place at the Urban Bar and they'd smashed it. From there the Temple lads hastily moved onto their new current venue, The CAMP in Old Street which, although bigger, I'm still not sure I prefer.
One thing you could be sure of is that the music would be epic - these guys care more for music than they do for their dear old mums. The line-ups for all the ToB events so far have been exceptional - it's amazing to see such big names like Icicle and Jubei grace the decks.
ToB prides itself on the wicked crowd it brings and this time was no exception. Everyone couldn't have been more open and welcoming. Along with the flashy lights and tribal décor, it felt more like a massive birthday party than a club night.
The only niggle I have with the venue is that it only comprises of one room. With nowhere to sit and relax, talking over the fat loudspeaker system became the only option. I found that the night was just a bit too much focused on the DJ rather than the fans experience, which was a shame considering the potential the event has to blow people away, especially since the last events did just that.
By 4am it was the end of the night, I was all danced out and had thoroughly enjoyed myself. I think for future if they spent a little less on big acts and a little more on a venue, Temple Of Bass could well become the next big contender within the scene.
